Advent is the season when we prepare ourselves to receive God’s gift of Jesus. It is a time of “getting ready” for the celebration of Christmas. You are invited to use any of these activities to help you and your family prepare for celebrating Jesus’s birth.

Easter Sunday, April 17

We welcome you back on Easter Sunday for an Easter Egg Hunt on our playground. We will gather near the fountain on the courtyard immediately following the 9:00 AM service. The hunt will begin at 10:00 AM. Bring your Easter baskets to collect some candy filled eggs.

We will gladly accept your donations of pre-filled Easter eggs or wrapped candy.  You may drop off your donation in the church office by April 10th. We also have empty reusable plastic eggs on the courtyard if you would like to pick some up to fill.

Hikes
Hikes

If getting out in nature and hiking with some friends sounds like a good way to spend your Saturday once a month than this opportunity is for you. All hikes are moderate hikes that are family friendly. . Our hike this month will be in Whiting Ranch. This hike takes us on a gently climbing trail through an oak woodland canyon and ending in a smooth red rock canyon. We will meet at 9:00 AM on July 16th at the Portella parking lot.The cost to park is $5 per car. You will want to wear hiking shoes or good walking shoes and a hat. You will need sunscreen, a small backpack to carry your water (16oz or more per person) and any snacks you will want. To be good stewards of God’s creation and courteous to other hikers our group size is limited to 14 people. Reservations will be a first come first serve and can be made by emailing Mary Boyd at mmmwboyd@verizon.net
