UMW Meeting
Being an Immigrant Welcoming Community

UMW will host an engaging program on April 15th at 7pm, Being an Immigrant Welcoming Community.

As a nation of immigrants, a speaker from OCCORD will inform us of the issues and needs of the backlog of eligible immigrants to become naturalized citizens.

Members of CUMC’s Immigration Committee will share what they’re doing in the community.

Upon conclusion of the program, attendees will be enabled to respond to the needs of immigrants and refugees, as all Methodists are called to do, with prayers, reflection and engagement in acts of compassion.

Mark your calendars for November 4!

If you have purchased pickles and/or jams and jellies at previous events and have saved the jars – hurray! Would you please return them to the UMW table so we can fill them up again? Only the jars with 2-part lids are needed.

If you are looking for a way to contribute to Boutique but are not crafty, prayerfully consider making something for the “Goodies” room or for the Coffee Shop that will be run by the youth to raise money for their mission trips.

  • cookies
  • candy
  • jams
  • jellies, etc.,

If you have treasures you don’t want to keep, but can’t bear to let go for 50 cents at a garage sale, we will be having a “Priceless Treasures” booth for those items. We will begin collecting the first of October.
