Engage HB is an opportunity to serve God by serving others. Join us on
the 1st Saturday of each month as we meet off campus for our projects.
Please wear your masks, work gloves and bring water to drink. If you would like to bring some gardening tools that is great, but not necessary.

This month’s service will be at Monarch Nature Trail on Saturday, January 2 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Enter at the Rancho Rd. entrance (near Spa Drive, where you can park)
Activities can include spreading mulch, weeding, watering, picking up trash and planting. You can visit their website to learn more about the trail.

Do Not Be Afraid Virtual Pageant Ad

How will it work?

You will record your scene with your family or whoever says, “Yes! Let’s do it! This will be fun!” Nobody is too young or old.

What about costumes?

You can use what you have at home or borrow items from the church. No need to go out and buy anything.

When will the performance be?

All the recorded scenes will be put together and the pageant will air on our online services December 20th.

Have Fun!

This well written script from Illustrated Ministries weaves together the joy of laughter with the Christmas story. Contact Marty (marty@cumchb.org) ASAP if you would like to participate.

TIYYA Backpack and School Supply Collection

God calls us to minster to the refugee and the immigrant, but we often wonder what is the best way to help.

Here is one way. We are collecting backpacks with school items for OC Tiyya.  Tiyya’s mission is to provide community support and educational opportunities for families of refugees, immigrants, and displaced Americans.

We will collect the backpacks and school supplies July 1—July 15.

Young children’s backpacks should include pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks, crayons & markers.

Older children’s backpacks should include pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks and calculators.

Please bring the backpacks to Suzanne’s office.

You can learn more about Tiyya and the wonderful work they do helping refuges and immigrants at Tiyya.org.
