Foundation Grants

The CUMC Foundation is pleased to announce it will recommend to the December 2017 Charge Conference that grants be made available for award no later than January 31, 2017. These grants are funded by earnings on the investment of gifts to the CUMC Foundation. Applications are due in the church office Foundation mailbox no later than close-of-business Monday, October 24th, 2017. The 2018 Grant Application Form is available from the office or by email from Loren Maddy. hblorenmaddy@gmail.com

UMCOR Responds to Harvey

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is currently working with disaster coordinators and early response teams to provide relief to the many victims of hurricane/tropical storm Harvey.

5 Things You Can Do: 

Please continue to pray for those whose lives have been impacted by hurricane/tropical storm Harvey. Please also pray for the Early Response Teams, disaster coordinators, and many volunteers in The Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, Louisiana Conference of The United Methodist Church, Río Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church and Central Texas Conference who are working tirelessly to provide relief after Harvey.

Do you know how to make simple PowerPoint slideshows and/or like to take candid smartphone people pics?

We’re working to start a weekly personal-ministry opportunity to put important Announcements in a short “looping” sanctuary slideshow as folks gather for worship, for 5-7 minutes before the Prelude starts … the Announcements would be intercut with a few candid pics of our CUMC family doing God’s work on and off campus, or resting in the shade with a coffee.

Remember SCRIP

Once again CUMC sill be collecting Back-Packs and School Supplies. This year the Packs are being donated to Colette’s Children’s Home……Healing Homelessness.

Items needed are back packs and school supplies for early elementary through high school

Bring yours to the Giving Tree in the Narthex or to Suzanne’s office.

Purchase Scrip to make your purchases…….we have CVS, Michaels, Office Depot, Staples, Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid and Walmart cards. We will be at the Scrip Table after the service, in front of rooms 8 and 9. Remember exact cash or checks (we are not able to make change).
