CUMC MUSIC MINISTRY presents “The Day He Wore My Crown” arranged by David Clydesdale, featuring the CUMC Chancel Choir with orchestra, Dr. James Calhoun, conducting with Jeff Ball, narrator; Good Friday, March 30, 2018; 7:00 p.m.
This 45 minute cantata will leave you speechless and spell-bound. You will be moved by lyrics that take every heart on a journey from the crowds crying out, “Hosanna!” to the passion of Christ on the cross.

The Community UMC Music Ministry wants you. We are searching high and low for new ringers in our Adult Handbell Ensemble. For those of you that have said “I can’t sing,” here is the perfect opportunity for you to be a part of the music ministry team here at Community. This will require very little of your valuable time. We meet each Wednesday from 7:30-8:30 PM, so we invite you to come out and be a part of this fantastic ensemble. Hope 2 C U soon.

The music ministry offers a wide variety of musical styles from traditional choral classics and hymns to jazz, spirituals, gospel music, and contemporary praise music.
I would like to invite you to consider becoming a part of the music ministry at Community UMC. We have some of the most dedicated, committed, and friendly members you will find anywhere, and we want YOU to be a part of the Music Ministry Team. While you are not required to audition, we hope that prospective members will be able to carry a tune (lol) and have the ability to match pitches with fellow choristers. Highlights of this year’s music feast will include An Inter-denominational Thanksgiving Service, A Festival of Lessons and Carols by Jonathan Willcocks and The Seven Last Words of Christ by Theodore Dubois as well as a children’s Christmas pageant entitled, “The Case of the Reluctant Innkeeper.”
