Today we conclude our series on “Come to the Table” with a “Breakfast Church”, a combination potluck brunch and worship service in Moore Hall.
Backpack and School Supply Collection
We’ll be collecting school supplies and backpacks to benefit Colette’s Children’s Home August 5-19. You can bring your gifts to the “Giving Tree” in the church Narthex or to the church office.
Colette’s Children’s Home supports homeless single women and their children while they work toward self-sufficiency. We support this organization throughout the year with blankets and toiletry items. As children prepare to go back to school and back to school sales are in full swing, it’s time to support with school supplies.
We will graciously accept all gifts, however some of the most popular items from area school supply lists are :
- Pointed Children’s Scissors
- 16 to 24-pack crayons
- White Glue Sticks
- Backpacks
- Folders with Pockets
- #2 Pencils (Dixon Ticonderoga have the best erasers)
- Pink Pearl Erasers
- Small Pencil Boxes
- Colored Pencils
- Markers
- Spiral Notebooks
