The Gathering:
We meet on Sunday evenings from 5:00-6:30 PM. We begin the evening with a dinner provided by our families and then explore life issues through the eyes of a Christian teen. This time allows our dynamic and very busy youth to share in a non-judgemental and safe space and get the support they need to deal with their complex lives. Social and spiritual growth is fostered by interaction with youth and their adult leaders.
Connect on Sunday Morning:
Each Sunday all youth are invited to begin the morning in the sanctuary and then move to the youth room to connect with each other, a devotional, and prayer during the Sunday Service at 9:00 AM. Our devoted Youth teacher, Marge, leads the group in conversation and sharing to help them understand and apply the topic to their own life.
Support Our Youth:
Our youth are extremely involved in our community, and we love to support them as a church. We’ve found the more adults that interact with them outside of church, the more connected they will be. We encourage you to attend our students’ events in the community.
Our Senior High Youth each summer have the opportunity to serve as a group on a mission trip with Sierra Service Project.
Many of our youth continue CUMC’s long tradition of going to camp at Lazy W Ranch.
