Faith That Turns the World Upside Down
Upside Down Church is an online faith community that dives deep into hard questions, real struggles, and the bold love Jesus calls us to live out. We meet on the fourth Saturday of the month. Just as the early followers of Jesus shook up the world, we explore how faith can still transform lives and communities today, even (and especially) when it challenges the status quo.
Through this interactive, online gathering, we invite you to join conversations that matter, including:
-
Addressing systemic racism and the church: How faith communities can confront injustice and pursue true reconciliation
-
Exploring anxiety and depression: Naming the real challenges of mental health and how God meets us there; Walking through the valleys with hope
-
Building the relationships Jesus envisioned: Recognizing that we are people, not problems, and that authentic community is possible
-
Warrior Jesus and toxic masculinity: Rethinking harmful cultural narratives about strength and power
- CRT (Critical Rage Theory) and sin: A candid look at shame, responsibility, and healing
-
Faith and autonomy: Affirming women’s moral agency in matters of reproductive liberty
-
Gender identity and faith: Creating safe, loving spaces where everyone is seen
-
The epidemic of loneliness: Exploring meaningful connection
-
Allyship in the age of social media: Showing up for others both online and offline
-
Ministry at the border: Understanding faith in action at one of the world’s most complex humanitarian frontiers
Wherever you are on your journey, Upside Down Church welcomes you to think deeply, ask boldly, and grow with us. Together, we can discover how faith still turns the world upside down, as well as how it might turn us upside down in the best possible way.
