Steve & Alisa Alfano and their daughter Marianna.

Marianna attends our Preschool and her parents both help with Messy Church planning. Steve is also on our worship Media team!

Evelyn and Ed Buchan

Evelyn Buchan officially joined us on Easter, her husband Ed joined about a year ago. They come to us from Garden Grove UMC, Ed is an usher and Evelyn is trying out our Morning Glory Circle. She is also the mom of Brenda Spencer who is in the choir and was our soloist for Lenten series special music.

Phyllis Lembke

Phyllis Lembke is Alisa’s mom, but more importantly Marianna’s grandmother. She volunteers for Messy Church and is getting involved with our Church and Society Committee.

Greg, Emalee and Brinklee Sugano

Greg, Emalee and Brinklee first worshipped with us on January 1st after moving from Bakersfield the day before! While Brinklee has change a lot since this picture was take this fall, you can still recognize her parents.

Roy & Karen Martin

Roy & Karen Martin became members on Easter as well, but we don’t have a photo yet. They come to us from Lancaster UMC and are newly retired. Roy is a a former test pilot.

Packing care bags – Ramadan Project

Come and join us on Monday, June 5, at 10:00 AM in Moore Hall, for our Ramadan Project! We are hosting our Muslim friends from local mosques in the area and we are working together to package care bags for Build Futures, a local group that helps youth and young adults get of the streets of Huntington Beach. Please see items that are on the list and let me know what you can bring to place in the care bags. If you can’t make it, but still would like to contribute just leave the items in Suzanne’s office.

This is a great way to make new friends and to build bridges between our faiths, all while helping local youth and young adults in need. Please let us know if you are planning on attending this great event. Phone church or email: suzanne@cumchb.org.
