Community United Methodist Church is blessed with a diverse music program featuring ensembles for all ages including:
- The Chancel Choir
- Adult and Youth Handbells
- Celebration Singers
- Joyful Noise Choir
- The Cherub Choir
The music ministry offers a wide variety of musical styles from traditional choral classics and hymns to jazz, spirituals, gospel music, and contemporary praise music.
I would like to invite you to consider becoming a part of the music ministry at Community UMC. We have some of the most dedicated, committed, and friendly members you will find anywhere, and we want YOU to be a part of the Music Ministry Team. While you are not required to audition, we hope that prospective members will be able to carry a tune (lol) and have the ability to match pitches with fellow choristers. Highlights of this year’s music feast will include An Inter-denominational Thanksgiving Service, A Festival of Lessons and Carols by Jonathan Willcocks and The Seven Last Words of Christ by Theodore Dubois as well as a children’s Christmas pageant entitled, “The Case of the Reluctant Innkeeper.”
We invite you and/or your children to join any one of these fine ensembles.
