Today we continue with our fall series “Outside Our Own Little World”.
Last December, the Lilac fire in San Diego County destroyed 157 homes. We have the opportunity to help families return to normal by landscaping on November 17. These homes are in a senior mobile home community and need help cleaning up any hardscape that survived and laying down new weed cloth and gravel. It may include planting of some plants, as well. Many hands make light work and these families are very appreciative of the help.

All people of the church are invited to the next UMW event, Death for Dummies on Monday, Oct. 15 at 7:00 pm. Toni Barton of Dignity Memorial will present a program on planning your funeral/memorial service. She’ll cover caskets to cremation to music to services available to veterans, among other things.
